2025 Munich Tech Arena

Huawei 2025 Munich Tech Arena – Media Technology Competition, held from July to November 2025, focused on two key challenges: head and ear parameter estimation from multi-view images and pre- and post-processing techniques for improved video compression. The competition aimed to advance spatial audio rendering and video compression efficiency. It attracted 228 applicants and 104 teams from 25 European universities, reflecting a high level of innovation and competitiveness. By addressing critical challenges in video compression and anthropometric data extraction, the event generated valuable insights for both academia and industry, particularly in overcoming current limitations in media technologies.
